Frankenstein

Animation is calling me. And I am following with baby steps, as I have to find the right moments  to discover this new world, and the right reasons. I don’t know how far I want to go. It might become a sidetrack, a folly, a serious research or an undercurrent.

Between Salzburg and Berlin

It was a hot summer of hardcore watercolour - thank you, Tobias and Michael (and the class, the Summer Academy, Salzburg & all the rest)!

I hardly have the chance to get back to my studio, as I find myself travelling again: This time the trains will take me to my old hometown Berlin, where I will immerse myself into the Berlin Art Week (and do some field research).

Working on a phantasmagorical series

I’ve been back in Berlin - one of my old home towns - for the Gallery Weekend. After a short time of confusion, the city fitted me again like a refound glove.

One night, I could not fall asleep because memories and new impressions
were dancing in my head. I wandered around in my friend’s house and took
pictures in the dark. They are the starting point for a series of big paintings, in which the old and the new Berlin are mingling in a phantasmagoric
manner.

It is the first time I am working like this - and it feels exciting!
